Some days just ask you to be there

Today felt a bit stretched out.

Not in a bad way, just—slow.

I made coffee, watered the plants, deleted some photos I didn’t need.

Didn’t really speak much.

Not sad, not happy. Just… here.

Somewhere in the afternoon, I thought about Monet’s Poppy Field.

That one with all the red dots across a hill.

It’s not a loud painting. But it stays in your mind, like weather.

Made me think of how quiet things used to be.

Like walking outside without headphones,

or sitting down without checking if you’re “using your time well”.

I don’t know. Maybe I just needed to see red, in a field, doing nothing.
